Telehealth Services From Compassion Health Care, Inc.
When we first heard of Coronavirus, no one had any expectation that it would change our lives the way it has. Nevertheless, here we are. We trust that you are doing your part in helping to flatten the curve by complying with the stay-at-home order, practicing social distancing, and most importantly: keeping those hands washed!
For CFMC and JAHC, business continues to be anything but normal. Today marks a new change for us: Telehealth. We now have the capacity to provide healthcare services to established
patients through video sometimes referred to as “telemedicine”. For our patients that don’t have access to video, we can provide phone/voice visits. If our medical staff determines a patient cannot be safely treated using telehealth, the patient will be brought into the office at CFMC or JAHC. We have implemented additional measures to ensure both patient and staff safety to the greatest extent possible.
Telehealth and Driving
Driving during your telehealth appointment is a danger not only to you but to others on the road as well. Please pull over in a safe space or you will need to reschedule your appointment. If you know that you will be driving during the designated appointment time, please call us prior to stepping out of the door. Thanks for doing your part in keeping yourself and others safe.

Video Tutorial for Patients Using Video Visits
How do I set up an appointment with a provider by phone or video?
The process starts with a phone call. Simply call our office and our staff will take you step-by-step through determining the best and safest way to ensure you get the health care you need.
What will I have to pay?
Every health insurance is different; however, all are quickly updating their plans to cover Telehealth. Please call the number on the back of your insurance card to learn more about your specific coverage.
For those enrolled on the sliding fee program, you can expect your copay to be the same as it would have been if you had come in to the office for a face-to-face visit.
Lastly, our billing staff is available by phone to answer any questions or to help set up a payment arrangement that will ensure you have access to the care you need, when you need it.
What kind of equipment do I need in order to do a Telehealth Video visit?
Any smartphone (iPhone or Android) will be sufficient. You can also use a tablet or laptop/desktop computer. You will need access to the internet as well as a device with a camera and microphone. Lastly, you will need an active email address. We can walk you through the rest. If you don’t have access to any one of those things, we might not be able to treat you using video; however, we may still be able to provide care over the phone.
Do I get to see the same provider that I have established care with and am used to seeing?
Yes! All of our medical staff have been set up and are ready to continue taking care of their patient panel. We understand the importance of the relationship you have established with your provider and want to ensure that it continues without interruption.
What if I do not want to get care via Telehealth and would prefer to come in?
Your safety and the safety of our staff is our number one priority. If your provider feels that your healthcare needs can be most safely met using Telehealth, you will not be offered a face-to-face visit. Only those cases that cannot be safely addressed will be brought in for a face-to-face visit.
This is especially true for our pediatric patients. After appropriate nurse triage, we will offer face-to-face appointments to the following type of visits: select sick visits, vaccine administration, well-child visits up to 15-months old (excluding the 9-month visit).
Regardless of age, the best thing to do is to call us to discuss your health care needs. We will do everything we can to ensure that you receive the right care at the right time in the safest way possible.
I have never been to CFMC or JAHC. Are you accepting new patients?
Yes! The process for new patient registration is still being worked out, so we ask for your patience and understanding. all our office. We will take care of you.
Can I still get care from CFMC’s Urgent Care?
Yes! Call us. We will take care of you as best we can.
What about Behavioral Health?
Yes! Call us. Our Behavioral Health Staff are able to use Telehealth, too.
