WHO WE ARE

Building CFMC

Compassion Health Care, Inc., which began as The Caswell Family Medical Center, Inc., has expanded over the years with growth financed by a series of grant-funded projects: a 1989 grant from the State of North Carolina funded the enlargement of the building; a 1992 Healthy Start grant allowed the center to begin providing prenatal care; in 1995 the Katherine B. Reynolds Foundation contributed funds for another building expansion; the March of Dimes Foundation awarded funding for ongoing incentive programs for prenatal patients; a 1995 foundation-funded grant supported improving preventive health programs, and in 2001 new x-ray equipment and the renovation of the existing x-ray room were funded jointly by the USDA-Rural Development and Katherine B. Reynolds Foundation.

CFMC Yanceyville NC

Our History

Caring since 1978

In the mid-1970s, the only doctor in the town of Yanceyville, North Carolina was near retirement.  A group of concerned citizens saw the community’s need for local, quality health care. In April 1978 their vision led to a site groundbreaking for what would come to be known as Caswell Family Medical Center (CFMC). The historic mission of the organization remains true to this day: ensuring access to medical care for everyone in the community, including the uninsured and the underinsured.

Caswell County

From the beginning, Compassion Health Care, Inc. has been committed to a “Vision of Excellence” and to patient safety and quality care.

CHC continues to provide affordable, high-quality, comprehensive healthcare services, and education to citizens of Caswell County, Rockingham County, and the surrounding areas, including Danville, VA.  Highly skilled staff and physicians, nurse practitioners, and medical staff offer medical services for all ages, from infants to the elderly, with special emphasis on the underserved and uninsured.

CHC is a not-for-profit organization guided by a dedicated board of directors representing the communities Compassion Health Care serves.
