Dr. Douglas Browning is Board Certified in Family Practice and Sports Medicine. He obtained his Doctor of Medicine from Wake Forest University School of Medicine and completed a residency in family medicine at North Carolina Baptist Hospital. His sports medicine training included a rotation at The Cleveland Clinic, Dept of Orthopedic Surgery, and a fellowship at the Hughston Orthopeadic Clinic and Sports Medicine Hospital in Columbus, GA.
His extensive career experience includes numerous positions as team physician, staff physician in a hospital, outpatient, and orthopedic practices, as well as several teaching and supervising positions. His past clinical leadership positions include Medical Director at Sports Medicine Associates in Winston-Salem and Program Director/Founder at Novant SportsMed.
