Family Fun Day Success

Caswell Family Medical Center (CFMC) hosts their fourth annual Family Fun Day.

This event is always coordinated as part of what’s known as “National Health Center Week”, which is a time when organizations like CFMC join together in celebrating outstanding work: providing high quality, cost-effective, accessible care while serving as critical economic engines that help power local economies.

The 2017 celebration at CFMC was bigger than ever. Thanks to the generous support of sponsors, the costs were covered to offer an entirely free event that included free food from three food trucks which were Harry O’s BBQ, Hot Diggity Dog, and Busy Bee Coffee Company, over twenty vendors that were on site offering information about the services that they provide, and tons of fun and games for people of all ages.

“The event was planned out expecting a crowd of somewhere around 200 people, which was around 100 more than came in 2016. We were blown away when at the end of the day we counted over 450 on the sign in sheets that we used for the event!” – William Crumpton, CEO, Caswell Family Medical Center.

This event provided CFMC an opportunity to give back to the community in gratitude for the support that’s been so generously given over the course of the 39 years the organization has been in existence. It also gave an opportunity for Mike Fenley, Field Representative for Senator Richard Burr and David Owen, Caswell County Commissioner, to speak to the role that CFMC plays in both the local and national landscape.

Vendors present at the event included: Caswell County Local Foods Council, NC Cooperative Extension, Carolina Farm Credit, Caswell Arts Council, Caswell County EMS, Caswell County Health Department, Providence Baptist Church, Girl Scouts, Gotta Dance, Union Church, Walter Michael Insurance, Dr. Roslyn Krisp Pediatric Dentistry, Seniors’ Health Insurance Information Program (SHIP), Legal Aid, NC, Alamance Cares, and KareRx.
