Compassion Health Care, Inc. has received notice of being awarded $549,764 as part of the Fiscal year (FY) 2021 American Rescue Plan (ARP) – Health Center Construction and Capital Improvements (ARP-Capital, C8E) one-time funding to support construction, expansion, alteration, renovation, and other capital improvements to modify, enhance, and expand health care infrastructure.
Caswell Family Medical Center is one of 39 health centers in North Carolina to receive a portion of $2,850,705 from the Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2020, which is part of the total $8.3 billion granted by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
CFMC has received a capacity building grant in the amount of $18,750 from the Danville Regional Foundation to cover the costs associated with developing a new strategic plan that will be used to guide the organization’s growth and development over the next three to five years.
The Caswell Cancer Resource Fund (CCRF) received over $21,000 from the Community Foundation of the Dan River Region to help continue assisting those in the Caswell community who have been affected by cancer in one form or another.
Today, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), awarded more than $50 million to fund 77 health centers across 23 states, Puerto Rico, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Caswell Family Medical Center is among those that awarded one of these “New Access Point” (NAP) grants.
