Caswell Family Medical Center Achieves Perfect Assessment

23 Jul 2018 CFMC News

This past week, the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) paid a 3-day on-site visit to Caswell Family Medical Center.

The purpose of the HRSA Operational Site Visit is to perform an overall assessment in every operational area of our medical center. This means every aspect of Caswell Family Medical Center is gone over with a fine-tooth comb, including fiscal, clinical, administration and governance to look at clinical quality, financial performance, community engagement, and overall regulatory compliance.

HRSA is a federal agency that is designed to improve health and to achieve health equity through access to not only great, quality health services, but skilled health providers and innovative programs as well. Caswell Family Medical Center is a federally qualified health center (FQHC) and as such, we participate in this scheduled visit to ensure compliance and continued federal funding.

In total, there are 93 factors that go into meeting program requirements.

We are proud to announce that not only did we pass this assessment, but out of the 93 factors, CFMC was able to demonstrate meeting 100% of them.

This is no small task. CFMC is only 1 of a few select medical centers in NC to accomplish this. We are very proud of what we do and we look at this accomplishment as validation. Because of the outstanding score achieved by the staff and providers at CFMC, we will be able to continue our work here in Caswell County to provide comprehensive care to the community.

This rare accomplishment comes in the same year as our 40th anniversary of serving Caswell County. What better birthday gift than to be validated with such an honor.

The staff at CFMC is made up of our neighbors, friends, and family and we hold ourselves and each other to the values on which our organization stands.

These values are:

  • Compassion – balancing the needs of ourselves and others with kindness, respect, and empathy toward healing action.
  • Commitment – Be the solution. Take personal and persistent responsibility for the ongoing success of our team, patients, and community.
  • Integrity – Inspire confidence by being true, accountable, humble, and courageous in intent, words, and deeds.
  • Excellence – The collaborative power to deliver the highest performance by deliberately pursuing success without tolerating less than one’s best.

We continue to strive for excellence in whatever we do for our community, and we thank each and every one of you for playing a part in our success.
